Pacific Asia Museum is housed in a Chinese Qing dynasty inspired mansion. The galleries surround a charming courtyard garden containing a koi pond, rock sculptures, graceful trees and plants that reflect the beauty of the changing seasons. The first cultural center for art, music, lectures and films in Pasadena, the beautiful building is a California State Historic Landmark and is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.

The second floor of the museum overlooks the garden and features a conservatory/auditorium and a meeting room with elegant Chinese furniture and décor. If you wish, after dining or meeting, you may enjoy a guided tour of the galleries and garden. Special demonstrations and lectures may be arranged for an additional fee.

Rental Rates for 2010

The Courtyard seats 120 people with tables and chairs; 300 people for cocktail gatherings with little or no furniture. Add one hour for set up at the normal hourly fee. (For instance, if your guests will arrive at 3:00pm, your rental starts at 2:00pm.)

$2400 for 4 hours
$600 per additional hour

The Conservatory/Auditorium seats 98 people auditorium style and 80 for dinners with tables and chairs.

$550 for 2 hours
$1050 for 4 hours
Plus one hour set up

The Garden View Gallery seats 40 people

$850 for 2 hours
$400 per additional hour

The Blue Room seats 15 people

$350 for 2 hours

Additional Information

Complimentary parking is provided in the museum’s lot. Parking spaces are limited.
Museum membership is required for facility rental.
No food or drink is allowed in the galleries.
No rice, confetti, smoking or unprotected candles.
The date will be reserved after the contract is signed and a limited refundable deposit is paid.
