CLASSES AND ONGOING PROGRAMS
An overview of Pacific Asia Museum’s great weekly and monthly programs. Schedules do occasionally vary, so be sure to call ahead.
Every Thursday: 12:30-1:30 p.m.
YOGA: Designed with a lunch-hour audience in mind, instructor Jill Zepezauer’s instruction of Hatha yoga is uniquely accessible. $10 per class, or buy a series and save. Beginners always welcome.
Every Saturday: 8:30-9:30 a.m.
CHINESE CALLIGRAPHY: Guang-Li Zhang teaches the art of Chinese calligraphy. Each six-week series is $80 per person or $50 if also enrolled in Chinese Brush Painting. Not held on certain holiday weekends; call or check the events calendar to confirm exact schedule.
Every Saturday: 10 a.m.-12 p.m.
CHINESE BRUSH PAINTING: Another longstanding museum tradition, taught by Guang-Li Zhang. Each six-week series is $120. Potential students are welcome to observe a free class before enrolling. Not held on certain holiday weekends; call or check the events calendar to confirm exact schedule.
Every First Saturday of the Month: 10:30 a.m.
SILK ROAD STORYTIME: Join everyone’s favorite storyteller Sunny Stevenson in the travelers’ tent for stories, make your own craft, enjoy an Asian snack and a balloon. A different theme every month! On holiday weekends, call or check the events calendar to confirm. Free and open to all.
Every Third Saturday of the Month: 2-4 p.m.
HAIKU: The Southern California Haiku Study Group is devoted to studying, writing, and sharing haiku in English, there is no membership fee, and beginners are always welcome. Group meets in the serene Blue Room at the Pacific Asia Museum.
Every Sunday: 10:30 a.m.- 12 p.m.
NEW! HAWAIIAN MUSIC AND MORE: Learn how to play the ukulele or guitar and sing traditional songs with Charles Kiaha and Ilima Lei Russell. This class is taught in a 12-week series and is open to musicians of all levels. Instrumental students must provide their own instruments (guitar and/or ukulele). Students under 15 years must be accompanied by an adult. Space is limited. Pre-register at the museum front desk or by calling Visitor Services at (626) 449-2742 ext. 10. $160 Pacific Asia Museum members, $180 Non-members. Next session begins July 14.

NEW! CHINESE FLOWER ARRANGING
Learn the art of Chinese flower arranging with master Rosa Zee, founder of the Chinese Floral Arts Foundation-USA Charter. No proir experience required. Students should supply own garden scissors, all other materials provided. All ages welcome; students under 15 must be accompanied by an adult.
For each 5-week session: $125 members, $150 non-members. Class size is limited. Sign up at the front desk or call 626-449-2742 ext. 30. Next session begins in September; check back for exact dates.
