Radomir Luza

visiting vishnu

he stands at attention like my grandfather the
   general of the czech army

the smile does not come the anteater of his drum

I cannot see his face the building block of chocolate
   and maze

we cannot find his arms for they are wings

landing on his unseen feet maybe the night cannot
   turn to day

after all

perhaps I am just standing here a poet out of nickels
   and dimes

serenading his highness born of whisper and rhyme
