Pacific Asia Museum invites its newest members to a special evening just for you! Enjoy extended gallery hours and learn how to get the most out of your new membership.  Field Trip and Curator Tour
Japanese American National Museum

February 11, 1 p.m.

Associates are invited to a special tour of Drawing the Line with curator Kris Kuramitsu. In conjunction with Pacific Standard Time: Art in LA 1945 – 1980, Drawing the Line explores the cultural resonance of several key Japanese American artists in the decades following the Second World War. Following the guided tour, several artists featured in Drawing the Line give gallery talks from 2 – 4 p.m. Reservations are required. Please call 626-449-2742 x 37 to RSVP or with questions. Associates are invited to a special tour of ‘Round the Clock: Chinese American Artists Working in Los Angeles with curator Sonia Mak. In conjunction with Pacific Standard Time: Art in LA 1945 – 1980, ‘Round the Clock presents the work of George Chann, John Kwok, Jake Lee, Milton Quon, and Tyrus Wong, contemporary Chinese American artists who employed their artistic abilities in their professional lives while remaining true to their own artistic pursuits in their personal lives. The exhibition features more than 100 works by these Los Angeles-based artists, including paintings, watercolors, storyboard illustrations, animation cells, drawings, photographs, film clips, and ephemera and considers the significance of their contributions to the region's artistic and cultural legacy.
