He covers Pakistan and Afghanistan for international publications such as the Associated Press and The Economist. The program is generously co-sponsored by the museum's Pakistan Arts Council.

With over 900 color and black and white images of work by almost 500 artists, L.A. Rising is the first comprehensive pictorial showcase of the diverse universe of artists working in the Los Angeles area during the formative period of L.A.'s art history. The programs are presented in conjunction with the museum's current exhibition, 46 N. Los Robles: A History of the Pasadena Art Museum.

In 1965 Pasadena Art Museum’s series of composer talks, Encounters, featured a legendary evening with John Cage.  As part of their Cage 2012 celebration of his centennial, Southwest Chamber Music performs the composer’s works in the space where he spoke almost 50 years ago.
